Feminism
A woman becomes a housewife. “It is her choice,” they said. A man becomes a house husband. “What kind of guy is he? He should earn for his family” they said.
Is this feminism?
A man wearing shorts. “It’s fine,” they said. A woman wearing shorts. “She is characterless,” they said.
Is this feminism?
A woman wearing nail paint. “Nice colour,” they said. A man wearing the same shade of nail paint. “He must be gay.” “That’s not masculine,” they said.
So, is this feminism?
Over a few years, the definition of feminism has changed for me. Earlier I used to think that feminism is only important for women but it's not.
Feminism is important for men as well. Why?
We live in a patriarchal society.
Patriarchy is not harmful to women alone but to men as well.
Patriarchy puts endless pressure on men to fit a narrow prescription of masculinity, to compete with one another, and to prove their manhood by rejecting their emotions.
How do we divide attributes into masculine and feminine?
Who are we to say that wearing nail paint or wearing pink is feminine?
Who are we to say that bodybuilding is masculine?
Who are we to question their life?
Feminism has such a simple definition but such a diverse meaning.
Feminism is also the most twisted, turned and manipulated word.
Feminism does not mean that men are inferior. It doesn’t give women the right to bash men. It doesn’t mean that women can abuse men as a joke. It doesn’t give women the right to misuse the law. It doesn’t mean asking for unjust privileges.
This is simply not feminism.
Feminism means treating men and women equally. It’s about mutual respect between both genders. Giving equal opportunities is Feminism. Having a healthy environment in a workplace for both men and women is feminism.
Feminism is for everybody.
We see people saying feminism is wrong. It is a cancer for our society.
We see people nurturing “Anti-feminism”.
We see people say “I don’t believe in feminism, I believe in equality”
Feminism means equality.
Feminism isn't about making women stronger. Women are already strong. It's about changing the way the world perceives that strength.
Hail feminism
Said the women
Scaring other women.

Yo Vin. How are ya?
ReplyDeleteYo Ed, I am fine. how are you?
DeleteI think men should use there high energy some where. If that energy not used it will destroy him or others , that's why men are not allowed be house husband. i will never like my brother who are physically fit to do girlish things they can some but not everything those were made for girls and let it be (physically fit - no hormonal problem etc) everything u said is right what i understand , that till some extinct feminism is right like on clothes topic girls should be allowed to wear what they want to but if she is mature to understand where to wear and where not to
DeleteMens just want more respect in this era of feminism because girls literally speak shit on any men just go away like nothing happened we remember those things but never say it and how men's should if I ask u how your brother bf should be
Delete"high Energy" actually I was taking about Testosterone ,actually a highly Testosterone men is very active and energetic.they can't sit at home and yeah what I think this demand has come in these year's just because low testosterone and listen this topic is very debatable I just wanted to express myself and I did it now I think nobody is right or wrong because once start see from their perspective. i will feel they are right
Deletespelling error maaf kar Dana πand I was not able to express myself π how I want to it takes a lot of time and patience that i currently not have but I wanted so I have written
a lot af things were wrong sorry for that
thank you for your time vidushi
Equality is a hypothetical condition that can not be achieved its like a fairy tale and we all like fairy tales but the moment when you try to connect fairy tale world with real world problem start and people know this thing that's why they say I believe in equality not feminism there actually niglecting the whole concept because everyone knows that human society runs by power hierarchy system.
ReplyDeletewell if i have to say u are wrong , u are not . are u right?, not really. i mean equality is delusional, nothing is equal in this world . its not about equality its about respect, mens and womens are different, they have different mechanisms, treating men and women equally is not the solution, treating them right is what required. if u do believe in god (i dont...), at that time womens used to cover her body , why ? thats how it should be. i am not saying dont wear trendy clothes , its not my point
ReplyDeletetime changed
things changed .
but if u know something is inappropriate according to the place , u shouldn't be like i dont care, cuz thats not being feminist thats being dumb π. so treat everyone with respect , everyone have their own different purpose
Well, it's not about being right or wrong. I didn't say dressing inappropriately is okay. I didn't say men and women are same. Feminism isn't "men and women are same", it's "men and women getting same opportunities" I did say we should treat everyone with respect. I did say that feminism isn't about getting unjust privileges.
DeleteAnd I believe in God, I would say Maa Durga is an epitome of feminism.
Also this all was my opinion, we are different, our opinions will surely be different.
take care,
Vidushi
This blog beautifully highlights the double standards and misconceptions that still persist in our society when it comes to gender roles and expectations. It's so important to question these preconceived notions and challenge the rigid definitions of masculinity and femininity that have been imposed on us for generations.
ReplyDeleteThe blog rightfully points out that feminism is not just about women's rights; it's about equality for everyone. Men, too, suffer under the weight of patriarchal expectations, and it's crucial for them to have the freedom to express themselves and experience a full range of emotions without being judged or shamed.
Vidushi's message about feminism being rooted in mutual respect and equal opportunities is spot on. It's not about elevating one gender above another but ensuring that everyone has a fair chance to pursue their dreams and goals. When we see people opposing feminism or claiming they believe in "equality" instead, they might not realize that feminism is precisely about achieving that equality.
Lastly, the blog's conclusion, "Feminism isn't about making women stronger. Women are already strong. It's about changing the way the world perceives that strength," is a powerful reminder of the strength that women inherently possess and the need to challenge the societal norms that have downplayed it for far too long.
In a world where gender equality is still a work in progress, blogs like this serve as a necessary reminder of the importance of feminism and its benefits for all members of society. Kudos to the author for shedding light on these issues and advocating for a more inclusive and equitable world.
You tell a boy that there are more than two genders and his mind will develop accordingly.
ReplyDeleteIn a family, someone should look after the kids because the internet is full of these pink heads to manipulate them and full of pornography and explicit content, while someone should bring food to the table. A women should stay home and look after the kids while making the home livable and the man should go out and bring money, this is the most suitable situation. A traditional family with values and the world can change within one generation. But if someone wants to live differently its there choice , wrong thing is when they say it's okay for men to stay home and women should go out to make money. Women have periods, a natural process that stops them from working efficiently, while men are physically stronger and stoic enough to make decisions rationally. Because of your mentality, this world is becoming miserable.
if my thoughts are so misreable, please don't read them:) why waste your precious time right? Hope you have live an amazing life in whatever delulu wonderland you live.
Deletebie bie
Ignorance suits delusionists
DeleteWell, sir, yes, ignorance is bliss. You know why? because I can't spend my time trying to change your opinion. You already have such rigid preconceptions about all this. I don't see why women can't be the breadwinners of the family. Women get periods. Yes, that doesn't make her unefficacious. I pity you with all my heart for having such sad thoughts.
DeleteI have a question for you. Who gave birth to you? A woman can produce life, yet she is seen as "not efficient." Why? Why do you still have such sad thoughts? You say my mentality is running society? How? I am not saying watch porn; I am not saying introduce children to different sexualities. Forget that; I am not telling you to read my blogs. DON'T. Just like you, I have thoughts, and I will continue to take a stand for them(even if it means writng long paras for a person who sucks!). Also, I don't hide behind anonymous tags like you:)

Ask your mother if she wants to be a breadwinner. Ask your father to be a feminist. You are able to write this blog because your father is masculine and your mother is feminine. But i guess they failed if you are a lgbt supporter or feminist. I was weak, I was afraid to become like you so I joined a gym and became strong. Now I am happy. Men are leaders. I respect women and hate women who want to act opposite nature. You feminists are either truly evil or manipulated into following the opposite of god and his teachings. You will make India just like America. And you must be known what is happening in the west.
DeleteHello again! My mother is a working professional. She works just as hard as my father. My father taught me to work hard and get a good job. He said if feminism means you getting equal pay as a man, he is already one (which is what feminism means). I didn't question how your mother raised you; neither can you. So saying they failed makes me want to slap you across the face, as I see them working hard every day so that their children can do something good with their lives. You joined the gym, which is amazing. kudos. I don't care. I don't care what you think about feminism. Is feminism evil? ok. You say feminism goes against the teachings of God. What god do you worship, sir? The god I worship, Shri Krishna, said I am god, but Radha (a woman) is my god. The god I worship, Shiv Ji, said I am incomplete without Pravati (a woman). The god I worship is Maa Durga, who is stoic enough to kill the evils of society. She is the one who loves her children and kills the monsters. I worship Shree Ram, who didn't dwell on why Sita did that. but went out to help her. (Now you'll say Ramayan happened because of Sita, no?) When Brahma, Shiv, and Vishnu couldn't kill the monsters, they made Shakti kill them all. I worship that Shakti. I worship the gods, who treat everyone as humans and not as just a gender. I am by no means trying to make India into America. I am by no means telling you what to do or not to do. But if you are going to question my choices in the comment section of my blog, I am obligated to answer.
DeleteThis is a man's world were men are leaders. I am son of a single mother. I have seen my mother cry a lot of times. She still dreams of living a women's life (house wife). you are a girl who lives in wonderland. I wish you could relate. Rape happens because of men, eve teasing happens because of men, domestic abuse because of men, Its so important to make men masculine, who understand their gender role and be a good father and a good husband. Gender roles are very important. Your mind is the product of movies and women with freedom (women with daddies money). Imagine you and I(man with muscles) are stuck in an island, now tell me who is cooking and who is hunting for food. Men and Women are back to their gender roles when life is hard. Life has become too easy for men and women to write these blogs. And remember, hard times create strong men(your father), strong men create good times(your freedom), good time creates weak men(your kind), weak men brings hard times back(feminism and lgbt+). You are a definition of weakness, I wish you hade a masculine brother to slap some sense into you. I want a logical answer in form of a debate for this (If you can answer). And ask your dad a question, If he would accept a daughter who follows 100% western culture (as you know west is dead). whatever happens in America, happens in India 5-10 years later.
ReplyDeleteHi there, this is a man's world. ok. But it wouldn't be anything without a woman. You told me not to go against the teachings of God. Sir, if Shivji said I am incomplete with our parvati, how are you making it a "man's" world? What God said this is man's world? I empathise with your mother, and I won't say anything on this matter. because I am not as low as you to say anything about someone's parents. Sure, sir, all crimes happen because of men like you who perpetuate the belief that women are inferior. Yes, guys need to be taught to be good fathers and good husbands , but that doesn't mean women are any less capable or important. My mind is a product of my upbringing. My mother taught me to be an independent woman who doesn't need validation from men like you. She taught me how important it is to know how to handle my own finances. She also taught me how to cook, not because I needed to serve my husband but because it was a life skill. Yes, my mind is a product of women with freedom who have shown me that gender does not determine worth or capability; they are the ones who build their own empires. They are the ones who ignored people like you. I don't have any issues with cooking food while you gather wood. I don't see anything wrong with following traditional gender roles if that's what works for a particular couple. Ultimately, it's about mutual respect and understanding. I don't get what you are trying to prove or why you are doing it. Life wasn't easy, and that's why I started writing this blog. Don't just go around trash talking people who are simply living their lives differently than you. Sure. men, men, men. Men are everything. You say I am weak. cool. I am weak. It's better to be weak than to be strong like you and have weak thoughts. No, I don't have a brother to slap senses in me. I have an older sister who I see working hard every day and earning her own money, and she is way better than any brother could ever be. She taught me to not let people like you walk over me, to speak out loud, and not to be afraid to speak your mind. I'd ask my father that question, but I do not follow western culture. I don't intend to do so anytime in the future.
DeleteGood bye.
