Why are you sitting in the "Boy's" row?

"Tum char ladkiya akeli boy's kii line mee kyu bethi hoo? jab sarri girls uss line mee bethi hai?" (Why are you four girls sitting in the boy's line while all the other girls are sitting in that line."). My social science teacher said these lines. In that class, we were cramming chapter-4: Gender, religion, and caste.

What is the point of educating about gender equality if you do not accept it?

Why to even teach something you don't believe in?

The following day, those girls moved from "boy's" line to "that" line; As I entered the classroom. I saw them not sitting in their typical place. I asked the reason. When they told me about this "boy's" line episode, I felt strange. How did she even utter those words? Why did she think that? Did she really mean that?

Just like an average girl, I took my bag and sat in the center seat of the "boy's" line. My friends accompanied me. When that teacher noticed us sitting there, she gave us several ghastly stares.

I wonder why?

They say we don't need gender equality; we already have it. But where?

They say Feminism is corrupt.

They say you can't sit beside boys.

They say all this while teaching Gender discrimination.

Side note: I and my friends continued sitting in that row till the last day of school.
